Using the FAA Drone Zone
Creating an account is easy with the FAA Drone Zone Here. Just as you would expect, type in a valid email, a unique password, and you will be quickly on your way. Once that step is completed, you will need to verify your email and type in some basic information, address, and phone number.

Your Section 336 Dashboard is where all of your information, registered drones, and safety guidence will be located. On this page you can quickly register, unregister, find guides and other bits of useful information that is worth reading. Especially as you are just starting out.

Safety Guidence
The first step is fairly self-explanatory. Read the rules and regulations set forth in front of you. Once you have read and understood them, click the check-box. If you have any questions on what they are asking you to agree to, click the Learn More Link at the bottom of the list. This will bring you to Fly Under The Special Rule For Model Aircraft Here.
Payment
As with everything else, everybody needs to get paid somehow. On this step, you will be asked to type in your credit card information and billing address.
Review & Pay
Check that all the information is accurate before continuing. If anything is wrong, now is the time to go back and fix the errors. Its easier to fix now than to change a mistyped email or address later.
Confirmation
A confirmation screen will now let you know that the process is complete. An email will be sent to your registered email address. This email will contain information on how to print your personal Registration Number along with instructions on how this needs to be properly displayed on your drone or UAV.
Fly UAV Under Part 336
This number is for your aircraft. This must be written on the outside of your drone or UAV at all times. If your drone is ever lost or stolen, this will identify you as being the owner. When you or anybody pilots your drone, you must keep this paper on you as proof of registration. In the event the drone is destroyed or sold, you must go back online through the FAA Drone Zone and cancel your registration.
